Established in 1947 by Carlo Barassi, Renato Teani, Pio Reggiani, and Aldo Bai—together with young architect Marco Zanuso—Arflex pioneered the use of foam rubber and elastic tapes in furniture design.

What began as an experiment soon evolved into an iconic Italian company, renowned worldwide for its sofas, armchairs, and refined accessories that embody both innovation and enduring quality.
